Spanish Cover!
by
I am delighted to reveal the cover for the Spanish language edition of The Way of Shadows. El camino de las sombras will be released in Spain September 10th, and will be available in other Spanish-language markets (including in the United States) on December 7. Check out the goodies below!
The release of Book Two, Al filo de las sombras, is scheduled for November 19th, 2010. The release of Book Three, Más allá de las sombras, is scheduled for early February 2011. These release dates are for Spain only.
I really like that cover!
The original US covers were good enough to attract my attention and get me to buy the series.. but I am seriously starting to think all these foreign markets are getting the real goods. That French edition you posted last year was beautiful and these Spanish ones are just awesome.
Is it bad that my first thought when I saw the cover art was ‘Lookin’ good, Ezio!’?
Wow, he does look like Ezio! Pfft, I wouldn’t say that to Durzo though. He’d get be pissed off if he looks like an assassin.
Brent, are the LIGHTBRINGER books going to be published one month after another like the NIGHT ANGEL trilogy? Why did the NIGHT ANGEL books do this?
I think the Night Angel series was released at a monthly rate due to the entire trilogy being picked up at once by Orbit and already being complete. No idea if that will be the case with the new series.
By the way, cool covers.
Why is it that all the foreign covers are so much better than those here in North America?
woow of course by my name you can tell i am from mexico and i bought and read the entire night angel trilogy, but i am thinking seriously to buy the spanish books also
Carlos, if you do buy and read it, please let me know what you think of the translation. I can’t really DO anything about a good or bad translation, but I am always curious to hear from native speakers how good of a job you think the translator did. 🙂
sure i will, absolutely as soon as i get my hands on the books. one of the things i can tell you right now is the use of some words that they use in Spain, unlike in Mexico we do not say “jilipoyas”, but i guess people are getting use to it. like right now i am reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss in spanish, and i feel they did a pretty good job with the translation
I love it. And the third cover where he is using Cur’Celestios, it is just great. The colouring on all three is very well done, the artist should be proud of his work with this one. Well done. And well done Brent.
I don’t think it looks like Ezio. This guy kind of looks like a ninja with a cape. Still cool, though.
Woah. These covers are gorgeous!
And here is the Russian cover of The Way of Shadows: http://web.szko.ru/ServerPicture.aspx?IMAGEID=\\dbserver2\pictures\220227.jpg
Thanks so much. I’ll be posting that soon!
Loving it!! 🙂
Oh my gosh these covers are amazing! I love this one esp. Wow! I mean how kick-ass would that be to have a, I don’t want to say costume like that. To have clothing like that! I mean beware of the awesome human assassin!
Oh, I’m reading it in English and it’s in Spanish! xD
Anyways, I’m buying the second in English as well, the cover got my attention and I bought at the Dallas airport 🙂
So, I guess covers make most of the work xD ??
I really like all the covers and I have a question..
the guy on the cover is Kylar or Durzo? :O
asdasda I’m about to finish the first book and I really want the second one.. gonna start searching for it either in Spanish or English 🙂
