The Color Quiz

I’ve had some questions about the color quiz above, so I thought I’d answer them in one fell swoop. Orbit came up with the idea with the hope *nudge nudge* that people would share their results and spread the word about The Black Prism coming out on August 25th. I helped with the design of the quiz (based on tests prospective drafters in The Black Prism undergo), and I wrote the questions, answers, and brief description of magic in this new world I’ve created. Then Orbit handled the art and the coding–for which I am forever grateful. For the sake of not having this quiz take too long, things are a bit simplified from what you’ll find in the book, but we hope you’ll really enjoy it!
If you’re curious about how things might have turned out if you answered differently, please feel free to take it more than once.

LOVE the Night Angel series! Can’t wait for Black Prism! You are a fantastic author. You create a totally believeable world filled with “living, breathing” characters. Thank you so much for the lil bit of escapism. Sometimes that makes a difference when life just isn’t cooperating.

wish a copy would be shipped out early here in the Philippines. I took awhile to complete the night angel trilogy due to limited stocks.. If I could get a signed copy of The Black Prism that would be nice 😀

Sub-red superchromat here. I am guessing there will be further clarification inyour book about what each does and how patrons and the order works so I am really looking forward to my book arriving!
I do think it is a pity that those of us in Australia have to wait a little longer but do understand that we are soooo far away. Good luck with the launch!

Superviolet Supercromat! I guess I’ll have to read to really understand what that means. Hooked me though. Just found the quiz, and your site, for the first time today from facebook.
This was a cool quiz, and I cant wait for the book. I’m trying to discover all the Drafting Colors. So far I’ve found Sub-Red, Yellow, and Blue. But I’m always a Superchromat.

I won’t take the quiz until later because I want to learn everything through the book. I preordered it off Amazon and recieved it today…? The 16th? Even though there’s still more than a week until the release date…? Very very very excited to read it nonetheless!!

Sub-red superchromat, and got my friends along the different spectrums. All of us posted our results on Facebook, which in turn got more people interested, and more, and more…
I think we have about 13 people vowing to buy the book now. Yay, publicity!

We need to talk about this. I’m not sure I like the squealing little fangirl I become when any of your stuff gets mentioned in any context. I manage to keep my geek cool at all sorts of dorky things, but your books… The whole “What Color Is Your Magic” quiz thing posted on Facebook didn’t help matters either. Thanks for outing me to all of my Facebook friends. I squealed. Out loud. And on my Facebook status as I announced to the world I was a Green Superchromat.
P.S. – If you decide to come East Coast, come to Dragon*Con on Labor Day Weekend one year. I bet many of your East Coast fans will be there!

I’m a Green/Ornage Superchromat!
Kinda cool because I feel it relates to me, but of course, not perfectly. I especially like the fact that green was used most by our boy wonder, Kip. I am wild, yet easy to tame, and I am against the limitations that society puts on us. Of course, I still recognize and follow the rules. Still, I wish I was a polychrome. I’ve only gotten Green and Orange results.
Anyways, can’t wait for the next book! I have probably thought out 20 possibilities of how the series will play in the time it took me to type this reply! (7 min [I’m a slow typer])
Green superchromat here. I think if it went all the way I definitely would be a green/red bichrome superchromat, but such is life. I have the temper and the dislike of authority to back that up. Keep on with the amazing work, Mr. Weeks!
Love The Black Prism, can’t wait for the next Lightbringer book! It was AWESOME, as was the Night Angel Trilogy (waiting for a follow up!)

I just have end reading the book. It’s even better than the NIght Angel trilogy if I may say that 🙂 Can’t wait till the next part will be realesed.
I also take the quiz, twice cause in almost all cases I just couldn’t decide what to pick and I’m superviolet and subred superchromat XD It’s a bit weird as it’s on two different ends of the scale, but well 😛 If there would be some female Prism, maybe I would be one of them 😉
I’ve reaqd the Night Angel Trilogy about 10 times, and it still hasn’t gotten old 🙂
